ABC / DISNEY / It's A Little Bit Fuzzy Productions
Kayla and I worked closely together on a pilot for ABC and I was lucky to have her on my team. Not only did she help wrangle 50+ individuals, but also assisted in daily tasks on set to ensure the success of the production-- tasks included running errands for our directors and producers, prepping supplies and equipment at multiple locations, and facilitating communication with talent. She consistently gave 100 percent effort to the team, despite the long hours and working in the heat and rain. Her positive attitude and energy was contagious and that is exactly what I look for when staffing my production team! Any team would be lucky to have Kayla, and I couldn’t recommend her more for a job in production!

ABC / DISNEY / It's A Little Bit Fuzzy Productions Get Lifted, John Legend's Production Company
I was an Associate Producer on Finding Harmony, an ABC/Disney show produced by Get Lifted (John Legend’s Company) and A Little Bit Fuzzy (ABC’s unscripted production company), that began in March of 2022. Kathy Kern Ross was hired to become Associate Casting Producer and while Kathy was working with me, I met Kayla in the best way, she helped us find our finale location and pitched it to the ABC executives. When production went for a location scout in Springfield, Ohio in early May 2022, they forgot to take pictures at night time of the finale location. Kayla, as an experienced photographer, offered to help us. She took pictures of different angles, different times of the day, labeled each picture with the time so we knew what time the picture was taken, and did much more than what we were expecting. She helped us save the location we wanted for the finale. At that point, I found that Kayla was knowledgeable of entertainment and a hard worker, so during filming, I hired her as a Production Assistant, and she worked on the team with our Executive In Charge (Brian Flach).
Kayla performed all PA duties during production and much more than what a typical PA would do. She went above and beyond for our production team and even on her day off she would offer to help. She became a valuable part of the show, and we couldn’t have done it without her. Finding Harmony is not scheduled yet to be on air. It will most likely stream on Disney Plus, at which point Kayla’s name will appear in the credits.

Ivan Borges has worked on many productions including: American Idol, Hell's Kitchen, Little Big Shots, the Go Big Show, Clash of the Cover Bands, America's Most Musical Family, The American Music Awards, The Golden Globes and the upcoming Todrick Hall HGTV show Battle of the Bling.

Karleen P Materne, M. Ed. , High School Teacher & Professor

It is an honor for me to write this letter of recommendation for my student, Kayla Ross. In fact,  out of my 31 years of teaching I can’t think of a student more deserving of acceptance,  scholarship and internship. Kayla is a class act! I first met Kayla, as a middle school student. It was obvious, even then that she  was special. She possesses every attribute of the model student. She is eager to learn. She  synthesizes information and applies it to everyday life. Her enthusiasm for learning is  infectious and other students become better students for having her in their class.   As time has gone on, I have had the opportunity to have Kayla in many of my high school  classes. Not only was she still the eager, engaged and intelligent student I remembered  from middle school, but she was a model of maturity and poise. When faced with a  challenge, she maintains focus with a positive attitude. While some students bask in the  glory of their successes, Kayla has always chosen to encourage her fellow classmates in a  manner that is helpful and inspirational. The level to which Kayla Ross participates in school and the community astounds even me.  She is active in sports, cheerleading, dance and the arts. She is involved with her community  both in person and virtually. She’s even designed Covid masks and donated the proceeds  back to the school! In truth, everything Kayla does is done with excellence and stewardship. Additionally, life does not come without its challenges. I have witnessed Kayla overcome  academic and personal obstacles. She always finds a way to process, rationalize and pull  through hardship with grace. Given our current political climate and virtual hindrances, it is  this that makes Kayla the perfect addition to any college or university. I cannot recommend  anyone more highly.   I’m happy to discuss all of Kayla’s fantastic qualities with anyone should the need arise.
Kayla is a dedicated, dependable student and worker. She is a self-starter and very reliable. She works well independently, as well as with others. Dr. Danny Frye, Band Professor High Point University
